Techniques For Drawing Anime Eye And Different Eye Expressions

Numerous techniques may be used while drawing anime eyes. This article demonstrates how to make anime eyes with a single style and a variety of emotions from the front perspective.

Step 1: Sketch the eye's shape.
Since the size and width of anime eyes are often significantly larger and broader than real eyes, that is how we shall depict them.

The distance between the eyes should allow room for a third eye.

Draw the iris with the top eyelid just touching the lower eyelid to depict a natural expression. Smoothly curve the brows up a little above the eyes.

The location of the pupils, the form of the eyebrows, and other facial features may all vary when depicting various expressions.

You can pretty much make everything black, with the exception of the inner part of the iris and the reflections, to shade the eyes, as in the picture above.

Make the iris region grey and the reflections white.

Drawing genuine eye expressions differs significantly from anime and manga in that the pupil size may be altered to produce a more dramatic expression, such as a truly terrified look.

Placement of Anime or Manga Eyes:

 Real eyes are situated in the centre of the head. The eyes in anime are frequently drawn far lower on the head.

Drawing the eyes below the horizontal line that is drawn in the middle of the eyebrows and iris of the eyeball on the anime face,like in the image above, is an excellent starting point for drawing anime eyes.
